A	By osteoporosis, a very painful vertebral deformation or collapse can occur in the region of the thoracic and lumbar spinal column, which easily can be seen in th X-ray image..
B	A thin puncture needle is inserted to the vertebra. At the pedicel, the bone can be punctured by the needle without risk.
C	A balloon is inserted into the vertebra and inflated with fluid under high pressure.
C	Following a successful straightening, the balloon is removed
E	and the resulting cavity is filled with bone cement
F	The repaired vertebra

Evaluation

An effective method to treat a painful vertebral collapse as a result of osteoperosis or vertebral deformation with a low risk.

 

A special physiotherapy can be started right after the treatment.

 

A normal activities can be started leaving the hospital, only lifting heavy weights should be avoided for about 6 weeks.
